| I have taken a few personal loans and a housing loan over the past few years and over time and some constraints I haven't been as regular on the payments as I would have liked to. My annual gross salary is 20 Lacs, I'm 27 years old and a post graduate. I approached CIBIL for a credit report but they instructed me that they do not provide reports and asked me to approach the rejecting financial institution. On approaching the financial institution I am told to approach CIBIL. 1.Am I not entitled to receive a report? Whom do I have to talk with to get this done? 2.Should I payoff my current liabilities in full? Will that help? Or should I continue with the loans and make sure that I pay it on time to help my credit status. 3.I am told that incessant applications for loans will further reduce your credit score. So how can I find out if my credit score has improved? 4.Can I get a secured loan? Like a top up on my existing house loan based on | |

| 1. You can approach CIBIL to get a copy of your credit report. This right is given to you by Credit Information Companies Regulation Act, 2005.
