| I am looking for Personal Loan of Rs.150000/- my net take home is Rs.24300/-p.m. CitiBank is offering me intrest rate of 8.47%fixed for 36 months which come monthly emi of 5226/- & same amount is offering by Fullerton for 12% reducing for same period & emi comes to rs.4982/-p.m.. One of the my friend guide me that these banks showing you 8% or 12% but in actual it is 34 % rate of intrest.Kindly clearify how it comes to 34% & which option is suitable for me. Thanks | |

| The interest rate offered by CitiBank is not 8.47%, it actually is 15.35%. whereas the interest rate offered by Fullerton is correct but its a floating rate of interest which may change later on. Ask for a fixed rate of interest and make sure its not a flat rate. also check that the same rate is mentioned in the loan agreement as decided. you may still want to shop around before you finalise on a lender.
