| Sir, I have taken personal loan of 3.5 lacks from ICICI with 9565 EMI in august and purchased agricultural land .I am a software eng from MNC.Now i want repy the total amount and want to take home loan from any good bank.so colud please advise me in following cases 1) should prepay the total loan ammount or shud i keep it for all the months 2)i heard bank may increase rates at any time with out any notice is it correct bcaz i am afraid. Is it better way to prepay the amount at one stretch if i want prepay how much i shud pay after 6 months of emis. | |

| if you want to prepay the amount then you may want to consider the prepayment charges to be paid for prepaying the loan amount. yes banks can increase the interest rates at any time without any notice. so it is advisible to pay off the loan if you have the funds. you can use the amortization calculator to find out your outstanding balance.
