| My husband is a bank employee and he has been sanctioned a home loan of Rs.15 lacs. But we are short of 3 lacs for purchasing a flat. Can we take personal loan from other bank ? If yes what is the eligibility ? which is the bank offering the lowest interest rate for personal loan. His salary is Rs.22,000/- p.m. | |

| There is no such thing like best bank or banks offering lower interest rates on personal loan. Your husband can get a personal loan of Rs 2.5-3 lakh. But his existing loan will have an impact on his personal loan amount. Alternately he can also raise a loan against securities such as mutual funds, shares, LIC policies, NSC's with high surrender value, jewellery. Typically secured loan have a lower rate of interest and longer tenure compared to personal loan. | |
