Date : Sep 30, 2008 Question while working in my earlier company, the then employer took loan in my name (also he took loan in the name of 8 other staff members) and used for his business. He defaulted and bank has sued us. he even agreed before mediation cell that he only defaulted and promised to settle the amount. now there is a delay in his part to repay. so bank is pressurising us to pay it. Can we take a loan from some other bank and repay it. will the new bank listen to our plea and give us loan, despite our name appearing in cibil Answer You cannot get a loan from any bank if your name is in CIBIL. You can still try to get a personal loan and the best that you can hope is that the bank will listen to you side of the story and give you the loan. |
