Andhra bank has re-launched their ‘kiddy bank
doll’ accounts in Coimbatore. Minors who have completed 12 years of age can hold
a kiddy bank account number and operate it themselves. All they need to produce
is an age proof certificate. For kids below 12 years of age, the natural guardian can open and operate an account in the kid’s name. A doll will be given free of cost to the kid, which is their penny bank. The doll has a secret lock opened only at the bank branch with which the account is held. The bank, as reported in the media, is planning for a pan-India action to motivate the branches to reach out and touch as many schools as they can. |
