North India, destination for luxury homes

Real estate in the Northern part of India is all about luxury homes, as delivered by the realty majors. North India has become the destination for high-end housing

Most real estate developers such as EmaarMGF, Parsvnath, Uppal's, Ansals, Unitech and Omaxe are into developing villas, penthouses, condominiums etc.

Market experts attribute the demand for high end properties to the IT boom in this part of the country.

Uppals Marble Arch is a project offering 3- and 4- bedroom luxury apartments ranging from Rs. 1.5 crore to Rs. 2 crore in Chandigarh.

EmaarMGF is developing 'Mohali Hills' over 3,000 acres in Greater Mohali. The project will reportedly have villas with Spanish, Mediterranean and Andalusian designs, penthouses and luxury apartments.

Prasavnath is coming up with a luxury township, Pride Asia which will offer luxury apartments, villas and penthouses.

Its villas are priced at Rs. 6 crore and penthouses at Rs. 4 crore. The township may also have a helipad, a luxurious club, and wellness facilities spread across 25 acres and unique landscaping for each of the villas and other residential units.
