HDFC raises lending rates 75 bps to 14.25 pc

Mumbai: Country's biggest mortgage firm Housing Development Finance Corp said on Monday it has raised its key lending rates by 75 basis points to 14.25 per cent.

The rate rise follows a central bank increase in its short-term lending rate by 25 basis points on Friday to contain inflation. ICICI Bank raised rates on Saturday and other banks are expected to follow suit.
