Investment in commercial property is the latest 'in-thing'

property is slowly gaining popularity as an investment option as compared to residential
properties. Here the appreciation of the property value and the rentals are higher
(12-14 per cent). High Networth Individuals (HNIs) and NRIs form the majority in this segment. Sources
from the industry say that it is an emerging trend of investment in mid-size
and small properties as it is easier to rent out. Developers
say that investment in commercial retail properties came in demand with the arrival
