Oakwood to set up service apartment at Juhu

Oakwood Asia Pacific, one of the largest service apartment operators in the world, is planning to set up a 62-room service apartment at Juhu in Mumbai. The project, named Oakwood Premier, will be built in partnership with Panchshil Realty.

Oakwood is also planning to set up more service apartments in major cities across India. It has announced plans for one in Hyderabad, expected to be completed by 2008 and in Gurgaon and Chennai by 2009. Oakwood Asia Pacific is planning to take partnership route - like in the Mumbai Juhu project – while building service apartments.

The company had inaugurated its first serviced apartment, Oakwood Residence, in Pune in the first week of July 2007. That too was a joint venture with Panchshil Realty. The Pune property has 84 single bed and double bedroom hall kitchen (BHK) apartments, priced at Rs 10,000 and Rs 14,000 respectively.
