IIMM to introduce diploma courses in October 2008

The Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM), is set to introduce two diploma courses-on hospital supply chain management (SCM) and supply chain for infrastructure management.

The one-year courses will start in 2008 with a fee of Rs 20,000. This will include class room as well as distance learning programmes.

The Distance Education Council (DEC) is expected to give recognition to the course. IIMM is said to be in talks with Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) for rural courses on SCM.

The courses are made available, keeping in mind the manpower crunch that industries may face, especially with rapid growth in logistics, retail and manufacturing sectors. Know more about education loans on www.apnaloan.com.
