Toyota Motor to introduce small-car in India

Japanese auto maker Toyota Motor Corp is planning
to launch a car in the compact segment or small car within the next two years in
India and to build a second manufacturing unit in Bangalore, the company
said. The company is looking at all the emerging market, said Fujio Cho, chairman of the board of Toyota on the sidelines of the India-Japan Business Leadership Forum held in New Delhi.He also said that the firm has plans to set up its second auto manufacturing facility in Bangalore, where they already have a unit. The new plant might come up in the existing facility itself, which will add additional capacity. |
