Tata Motors unveils new range of Safari

Upgrading the premium brand SUV from the Tata
Motors stable – the Safari – as a total outdoor vehicle, the company has come up
with a new series of Safari. Launched on October 4th, the high end range of Tata Safari is available in 4X2 and 4X4 modes. It is now possible to shift the Safari to 4X4 on the fly. Limited Slip Differential in the axle comes as a standard feature in the SUV. The new Safari is available with three engine options – 90ps Turbo Charged Inter-cooled (TCIC) Diesel, 140ps 2.2 Variable Turbine Technology (VTT) Diesel, and 127 PS, Multi-point Fuel Injection (MPFI) Petrol. The entry-level of 2.2 VTT is available at a price of Rs 6.4 lakh and the high end range of the same model is available at Rs 7.33 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi prices). The top end version will also have ABS, dual Airbags, reverse guide system and DVD/MP3 system with dual LCD screens as standard fitment. |
