Tata Motors to launch new version for Indica, Indigo and Sumo by '08

Tata Motors plans to launch its next generation
versions of Indica, Indigo and Sumo in 2008, from its Ranjangaon facility,
jointly operated by Fiat Motors India. Media quoted Rajiv Dube, president, passenger car division, Tata Motors, saying that the new models from Ranjangaon facility will come in the higher end and will complement the existing range and also said that some of the existing trims could be phased out from the market. He was talking at the launch of Tata Motors’ new 2.2 litre Tata Safari in New Delhi. Tata Motors also plans to re-enter the UK market with these new models sometime in 2008. The new vehicle, equipped with a specially designed turbocharger with a variable turbine technology (VTT), delivers 140 bph powers. |
