Skoda to launch New Superb

Skoda India will launch the New Superb, the successor of its luxury model the Superb in India by next year.

It is part of the company's strategy to strengthen its presence in the luxury D-plus segment, which is currently dominated by Mercedes Benz, BMW and Audi.

The New Superb will be first launched in Europe in October this year. Following this it will be introduced in India sometime next year.

The New Superb will be priced on the same lines of the Superb. The Superb is currently priced Rs 19.89 lakh. The New Superb will be available in both diesel and petrol variants.

The company plans to launch a new car in India every year. This will either be the successor of an existing model or a completely new car. The company is presently working on two models i.e. Roomster and longer version of the Fabia for India.
