Maruti to woo rural market customers

Maruti Suzuki The company is targeting
this market through various means which include network expansion, appointing
rural dealer sales executives and holding rural camps for customers. As a part
of the company's strategy, it is getting in touch with village heads and is
planning initiatives with local gram panchayats. Sales from the rural
markets currently accounts to 10% of the company's total turnover and is
looking at higher growth in this market. The company is also
strengthening production capacities at its Manesar plant from the existing 1
lakh units to 170000 units next month. |
