Ford to expand car production in Chennai plant

Ford India is planning to expand its annual
production capacity to 100,000 units at its Chennai plant. The company plans
this as an intermediary plan to augment certain segments that it is currently
evaluating which includes the small car segment.
Scott McCormack, vice president, marketing and sales, confirmed that the existing facility has a capacity of 65,000 units on an annual basis and plans to increase the production capacity as more product projects and segments are being evaluated by the top management. |
