Bajaj hopes better sales after Xceed launch, may phase out 100 cc bikes by 2007 end

Bajaj Auto Limited expects a boost in sales after
their 125 cc bike - Xceed is launched in mid-September
2007. Reports say that the company targets a sales volume of 40,000-50,000 units, and Bajaj expects its market share in the 125 cc segment to cross 50 per cent, as against the current 47 per cent. Reports also say that Bajaj may phase out the manufacturing of 100 cc bikes by the year-end (2007) to precipitate consumer demands. |
