Suzuki Motorcycles India (SMI) is planning to increase its manufacturing capacity to 1.25 lakh units at its gurgaon plant by next year with the investment of Rs 150 crore.

SMI has launched a new scooter Access in the 125cc segment on Sept 17, and plans to introduce other models at regular internals to offer a complete bouquet of products in the two wheeler market by 2010.

Media quoted Satya Sheel, MD, SMI saying, “We are a fringe player yet and don’t have the entire product line to match other big two-wheeler makers like Hero Honda and Bajaj Auto.”
