Hyundai hikes price on all models

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) announced a hike on all its models by 2 per cent. The hike comes just two days after Maruti hiked the prices of its cars. The new prices will be effective from first week of June.

The hike will be in the Rs 5200- and Rs 32,200 range as compared to increase of Rs 1000-18,000 announced by Maruti.

Hyundai currently sells hatchback models Santro, i10 and the Getz along with 3 sedan variants - Accent, Verna, Sonata Embera. It also sells the Tucson brand SUV.

Other manufacturers such as Mahindra & Mahindra and Honda Siel Cars India have already increased prices; General Motors has said it will announce new prices by the end of this month. Tata Motors, however, is yet to take any decision.
