BMW to roll out premium small car in India by 09

Following the suit of small cars and premium small
cars by the major car manufactures in India, German automobile major BMW plans
to launch its premium small car BMW Mini Cooper in the country by next fiscal,
says a top company official who was quoted in Economic
Times. “The BMW Mini Cooper will be priced Rs 20 Lakh,†he added. BMW India’s Chennai plant produces the BMW 3 series and 5 series sedans in petrol and diesel variants. And its 6 Series and 7 Series are available in the country as completed built-up units. The company is also expected to launch its X5 SUV model in November this year. |
