BMW likely to launch 'Mini' range in India

BMW is likely to launch a premium compact range of cars under its 'Mini' brand in the India by 2009. The company has already done a feasibility study and will make an announcement in the next 2-3 months.

At present, the Mini will be imported in India and will cost around Rs. 20-25 lakh.

The company is also planning to set up its company-owned brand display studio in India.

This exclusive outlet complete with lounge bar will be called the BMW Pavilion. It will showcase its brands and merchandise to give customers a feel of the product.

The BMW Pavilion will be located in the heart of New Delhi and operational by April 2008.
