| I have taken personal loans from different banks such as hdfc,icici etc amounting around 7 lakhs. for 2 yrs I was able to pay the EMI ON time but now I suffered losses at my work and now in future I am not able to pay the loan. I have used all my money to pay loans but now I dont have any other funds left,now what can I do, I am very depressed and afraid of recovery agents,do I have to go to jail if I cant be able to pay personal loan. | |

| you can try and convince your bank for a settlement which will make you a defaulter. Alternately you can raise a loan against securities such as mutual funds, shares, LIC policies, jewellery, NSC's. Typically secured loans have a lower interest rate and have longer tenure compared to personal loans. | |
