| Dear Sir, I've bought a flat in Ghaziabad. For the registration purpose, I've given a Demand Draft to builder a week back (DD is in name of Chief Treasury Officer, Ghaziabad). Today, I came to know that registry amount has been reduced in Uttar Pradesh. Since the registration is pending, I called up builder and asked how my additional amount would be refunded back to me. The builder told me that since the DD is encashed, now the additional money will be refunded back to you by registrar office in form of a cheque/DD. The builder told me in that in my case, from the additional amount,10% money will be deducted and rest will be returned to me. I would appreciate your inputs on what the process is. Thanks, Vikas | |
