FEDERAL BANK
The
Federal Bank Limited was incorporated on 28th April 1931 at
Nedumpuram, a place near Tiruvalla in Central Travancore. Federal
Bank became a Scheduled Commercial Bank in 1970.
Federal
Bank introduced FedAlerts, real time transaction alerts across the globe, and
FedMobile, a first among traditional banks in India. Business is fully automated helped
by a strong in-house IT infrastructure.
The
centralised telebanking service of the bank enables customers to get banking
services like balance inquiry and cheque book requisition by just dialing a
single telephone number from any where in the world.
Federal
Bank, in association with AMRITA super speciality hospital, launched
Fed+Amrita, an innovative online system for fixing medical consultation, health
check up, and inpatient payments from anywhere.
The Bank
has more than 500 offices in India,
covering all the important cities with Kerala having the lion's share with around
300 branches.
