Date : Jul 24, 2008 Question Hi...The property I m buying has government registered value as 7Lakhs. I m going for a home loan from SBI. Can I take loan for 9Lakhs,out of which 3 Lakhs is for home improvement purpose and rest 6 to buy the property (1L is downpayment). In this case, can I register the property for 7L or it needs to be above 9L. Answer Normally, banks will finance 80-85% of the declared market value
of the house and the remaining 15% has to come from your own sources. |
