| I have a ICICI bank credit card. And I'm running it successfully. And atleast paying the minimum payment every month. Approx 8 months ago I'd a late paymentt only for a month but now I've apply for a loan or new credit card of another bank but I got the information that you're a defaulter from ICICI bank credit card. Is it possiblle that they can put my name in defaulter list due to only one month late payment. Suggest me or how can I remove the name from related websites. | |

If you have delayed your payment only for a month banks will not report your name as a defaulter in the credit bureau provided you don’t repeat it all the time. You cannot get your name removed from CIBIL's list. Even after you make the payments, your name will remain on the list for around 7 years. so you will always face an issue in getting a loan even after clearing off your default. The best you can hope for is that the proposed lender will listen to your side of the story and may consider granting the loan if he is convinced about the genuinity of the reasons why the default happened.
