| Hi. I have got two credit cards with wrong profession and the bank people have promised that there will be no problem. But, now i am afraid that i might have to face the problem since there is no way to prove that they have promised me since its verbal and not written. My payment track record is very good with all credit cards that i own. Kindly, advice me if any notice on fraud is ever given to me, what should i do? | |

You have to contact the bank and take a written acknowledgment. As written acknowledgment always has a legal standing. In case of fraud first thing you should do is raise a a formal dispute and get an acknowledgment, Any dispute raised on the telephone have no legal standing, hence you should ensure you have an acknowledgment copy of any dispute filed by you. If the bank does not rule in your favor despite you have not incurred the charges, you should immediately complain to banking ombudsman having jurisdiction over your area.
