| Dear Sir, My Dad has almost credit cards from all leading banks, he has used the credit and even withdrawn the cash and put in the share market where u know he lost all in a recent crash, and now he is unable to pay .we get calls from the bank but we have no answer but just to tell that he is out of station,the intrest amount is also high .so what procedure should i adopt to settle all. i can up most have 30% of all total debt. is it possible to settle the debt on an amount which can be paid on installments . waiting for a reply thank u | |

| This mistake i am afraid will mark your father for the rest of his life. Even if you can work out a settlement with the credit card issuing bank his existing defaulter and the fact that he settled for less than the full amount due will ensure that he will never be able to get any loan in the next few years at least. There is no real solution to the problem. You can contact credit counseling agencies such as Disha Financial counseling. | |
