| I had a HSBC credit card and had some outstanding balance on it. Now I have settled my credit dues in the account at a sum lower than the mentioned amount by the bank. I also got full and final settlement letter for my card. How do I know whether they have forwarded my name to the CIBIL defaulter list as they have mentioned in the letter to do this. | |

| When you go for a settlement for a amount lower than what is due under the agreement it is considered as a default. You can ask the bank to give a copy of your credit report or Approach CIBIL to get a copy of your credit report. This right is given to you by Credit Information Companies Regulation Act, 2005.
