| I am holding all bank credit cards and i am genuine payer too. I never had any late payment and other penalty charges till date since2000.I am holding icici amex credit card too since2006.I had some dispute transaction around Rs.1300 in my oct2007 statement which i am not responsible. This is 2nd time happening in the same card and with same merchant. I politely send the request by online and by phone. They took the request and give me request no and ask me to send dispute letter.But they told me they have not received any dispute letter but till date but i send fax thrice since the request raised and i attached the same scanned copy to respective emailed and keep sending and ask the status. But till date they say same, not properly responding.As i am genuine payer it scared me vary much.So I want to take this issue serious. What i have to next step legally to sort out this issue please advice.I don’t have this kind of problem with other bank.Howcome this happening only with ICI | |

| For any dispute charges please raise a formal dispute and get a acknowledgment. Any dispute raised on telephone does not have any legal standing. Hence, you should ensure that you have an acknowledgment copy of dispute filled by you. If the bank does not rule in your favor despite you not having incurred the charges you should complain to the banking ombudsman having jurisdiction over your area. details are available on (www.bankingombudsman.rbi.org.in) | |
