| I was having 26000/- due on abnamro creditcard till last month. second day i got a call from abn amro manager and he told me that i can pay 22000 rs only remaining 4000 rs which was late payment charges and interst he will remove and he will give me the settlement letter after paying 22000 rs.so agreed and paid on 22-08-2007 the 22000 rs and got the settlement letter.after that i applied for a personal loan, the personal loan bank refused to give me the loan saying that still you are in defaulter list in CIBIL of satyam computer agency. i said i have settlement letter of abn amro card and i paid 22000 rs.they told me that you are in defaulter list. so tell me that how i can be removed from defulter list of CIBIL even i am agree to pay remaining 4000/- rs differce of the abn amro settlemnt amount. actully i was not aware that after settlemnt also that can be case so please help about wat i need to do for future perspective because in future i would require some home loan and personal l | |

| You cannot remove your name from defaulter list. Know if you want to enhance your chances to get a loan in future then, take a secured credit card which is offered against your term deposits, which is provided by many banks .Build a good credit record with it. This will not remove your name from CIBIL defaulter list but it will improve your credibility in your credit report. | |
