Date : Jun 19, 2008 Question hi sir , again disturbing u.. past id: q10204.u told me that if i pay entire amount after settelment. then my name wl not remove from cibil? why? if i pay on time and pay all interest and charges.. and is there any difference in voluntary closure or settelment. because i was setteled my citibank credit card as a voluntary closure ,this account will not shown in cibil list? and i was seen one answer in another id that , if u r in cibil list (defaulter),u take a secured credit card which is offered against your term deposits, which is provided by many banks .Build a good credit record with it. This will not remove your name from CIBIL defaulter list but it will improve your credibility in your.. how can i apply this card . ? thanks Answer
It's under CIBIL own rule but if you make payment it will surely improve your credit worthiness. For secured credit cards you can approach ICICI or Axis bank. Normally secured credit cards are issued to the defaulters to improve their credit worthiness which in turns helps to improve their credit report.
