Bajaj, Hero Honda reduce prices on CD Deluxe, Platina as festival offer

Hero Honda Motors Ltd and Bajaj Auto Ltd have bought down the prices of their entry-level 100 cc bikes to encourage sales during the festival season, according to media reports.

Hero Honda has reduced the price of its CD Deluxe bike by Rs 2,020 (approx. 6 per cent), as a limited festival offer. The market price of the CD Deluxe is Rs. 36,000.

Bajaj has reduced the price of its Platina bike by Rs 4,000 (approx 12 per cent), again a limited-period offer. The market price of Platina is Rs.39,000.

Motorcycle manufacturers have seen sluggish sales in recent months as high interest rates on vehicle loans have depressed demand.
